Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Voice & Data Technician for our operations in Oakland, CA and the surrounding cities, including Alameda, Berkeley, San Leandro, and Emeryville. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing voice and data systems in various commercial settings, with a focus on new construction and big box retail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation, maintenance, and repair of voice and data systems in commercial settings, primarily new construction and big box retail facilities.
2. Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic plans, blueprints, and schematics.
3. Testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues with voice and data systems.
4. Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with industry standards and building codes.
5. Providing technical assistance and support to customers and team members.
6. Documenting all work performed and reporting any issues or irregularities.
7. Regularly communicating with team members and management about project progress, issues, and solutions.
8. Participating in safety training and adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Voice & Data Technician, preferably in the commercial sector.
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and electronic plans, blueprints, and schematics.
4. Excellent knowledge of voice and data systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
5. Strong understanding of industry standards and building codes.
6. Experience with various testing and diagnostic tools.
7. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
10. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
11. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
