What You’ll Do as a Fire Alarm Technician

As a Fire Alarm Technician at Prime Partners, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our commercial new construction projects in Oakland, CA, and the surrounding areas such as Berkeley, Alameda, and San Leandro. You’ll be the go-to expert for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems. Day-to-day, you’ll be hands-on, working directly on site, and collaborating with a team of skilled professionals to ensure that all fire safety systems meet local and national regulations.

Your Daily Tasks as a Fire Alarm Technician

Installation and Programming

Your primary responsibility will be to install and program fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, strobes, and other system components. You’ll be working on large-scale commercial projects, integrating these systems into new constructions and ensuring they function seamlessly.

System Testing and Troubleshooting

You’ll conduct rigorous system testing and verification to ensure compliance with fire safety standards. Troubleshooting will be a significant part of your role, where you’ll diagnose and resolve issues to maintain optimal system functionality.

Collaboration and Coordination

What You Need to Be a Fire Alarm Technician

Experience and Expertise

We’re seeking candidates with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in installing and maintaining fire alarm systems. Your hands-on experience in programming, testing, and troubleshooting these systems will be invaluable.
