What You’ll Do as a Security Alarm Installer
As a Security Alarm Installer at Prime Partners, you’ll be at the forefront of securing commercial and residential properties in Oakland, CA, and its neighboring cities, including Berkeley, Alameda, San Leandro, and Richmond. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that security alarm systems are installed, configured, and maintained to the highest standards. Your Daily Tasks as a Security Alarm Installer
Install and Integrate Security Systems
You’ll be responsible for setting up and integrating sophisticated security alarm systems in large commercial spaces and multi-unit residential buildings. This includes mounting and configuring motion sensors, glass break detectors, and door/window contacts to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Program and Test Systems
Once installation is complete, you’ll program the systems to seamlessly integrate with existing building access control systems. You’ll conduct thorough testing of each system, verifying that all zones and devices operate correctly and efficiently.
Client Walk-Throughs and Troubleshooting
After installation, you’ll lead system walk-throughs with clients, providing them with a clear understanding of operational features and settings. Should any issues arise, you’ll troubleshoot and repair or replace any damaged components, ensuring minimal disruption to the client’s security.
Maintain Accurate Records
You’ll keep detailed records of all installation work, including device locations, programming specifics, and any maintenance performed. This documentation is vital for future troubleshooting and upgrades.
Additional Daily Activities

What You Need to Be a Security Alarm Installer
Hands-On Experience
You’ll need at least 1-3 years of field experience as a Security Alarm Installer. Your hands-on abilities with low-voltage wiring, including terminations and splicing, are crucial.
