Job Overview: Prime Partners is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Voice & Data Technician to join our dynamic team in Long Beach, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in the electrical industry and will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing voice and data systems for commercial projects, mainly new construction and big box retail. The successful candidate will be a problem solver, a team player, and capable of working in fast-paced environments. This position requires work in surrounding cities that border Long Beach, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice and data systems in commercial environments.
2. Conduct tests and inspections of voice and data systems to evaluate their performance and identify the need for adjustment or repair.
3. Carry out project planning and execution, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
4. Maintain accurate records of work done, materials used, and report to the project manager.
5. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards.
6. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth project completion.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation or maintenance process.
8. Provide high-quality customer service, addressing any customer concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical industry, specifically with voice and data systems.
3. Strong understanding and experience in new construction and big box retail projects.
4. Excellent knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
5. Proficient in using electrical and hand tools.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
10. Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
11. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.

Requirements:

1. Must pass a background check and drug test.
2. Willingness to travel to job sites in and around the Long Beach, CA area, including surrounding cities.
3. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, if required.
