Security Technician at Prime Partners

Job Description:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Security Technician to join our team at Prime Partners. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in installing and maintaining advanced security systems in commercial properties such as office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair security systems including alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and other security equipment in commercial properties.
• Conduct site surveys to identify security vulnerabilities and suggest appropriate security solutions.
• Ensure all installations are completed on time and up to code.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of security systems to ensure they are operating correctly.
• Coordinate with security team and building management for system installations and repairs.
• Provide technical assistance and training to customers regarding the use and maintenance of installed systems.
• Respond to emergency situations and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of various security systems and their installation, including alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Relevant certification such as Certified Alarm Technician (Level 1) from the Electronic Security Association (ESA) or similar is preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Service Area:

• The primary service area will be Long Beach, CA and surrounding cities.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

• Knowledge and proficiency in using a variety of tools necessary for installing and repairing security systems, including electrical hand tools and voltage meters.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools for troubleshooting system malfunctions.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and protocols.
