Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking experienced Apprentice and Journeyman level Electricians to join our commercial electrical team. We specialize in new construction office buildings and hospitals in Long Beach and surrounding cities. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in commercial electrical work, demonstrating an ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, comply with safety regulations, and meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure they are installed and functioning according to specifications and local electrical codes.
2. Conduct inspections of systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with codes.
3. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
4. Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
5. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
6. Provide preliminary sketches or cost estimates for materials and services.
7. Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving or lifting heavy objects.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of electrician apprenticeship.
3. Proven experience as a commercial electrician.
4. Valid license to practice the profession.
5. Experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
6. Deep understanding of the current National Electrical Code and local codes.
7. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
8. Strong communication and leadership skills.
9. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge Needed:

1. Knowledge in operating tools, machines, and other equipment used in the electrical trade.
2. Proficiency in using electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
2. Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession.
3. Ensure all operations and processes adhere to OSHA standards.
