Job Description:

Prime Partners, a top-rated fire and security services provider, is currently seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Installer to join our team in Long Beach, CA. As a Fire Alarm Installer, you will primarily be responsible for the installation of fire alarm systems in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install fire alarm systems according to blueprints and wiring diagrams.
2. Perform system testing to ensure the system is working correctly and efficiently.
3. Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
4. Provide technical support to clients, explaining the system’s operation and answering any related queries.
5. Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand the installation requirements and specifications.
6. Document installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all company protocols and standards.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Fire Alarm Installation certification is a must.
4. Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards.
5. Strong knowledge of electronic and electrical principles.
6. Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
8. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Service Area:

This position will primarily service Long Beach, CA, and surrounding cities. Some regional travel may be required.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

Candidate must be proficient in using various tools such as multi-meters, hand tools, power tools, and other testing equipment used in the installation and repair of fire alarm systems.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

The candidate should be knowledgeable about Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, and must always adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
