Job Description:

Position: Commercial Journeyman Electrician Location: Long Beach, CA Company: Prime Partners

Prime Partners is seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of electrical experience, particularly in installing electrical systems in new commercial construction projects such as office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Ensure that installations are done in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
• Work closely with project managers and other team members to complete projects within established timelines and budgets.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

• Minimum 4 years of electrical experience.
• Valid state Journeyman Electrician license.
• Able to read and understand complex electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local codes.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Service Area:

• The service area will primarily be Long Beach, CA and nearby cities.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

• Experience with various electrical tools and equipment, such as wire strippers, conduit benders, voltage testers, etc.
• Comfortable working with high voltage systems.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

• Comply with all safety procedures and protocols.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.
