Job Description:

Prime Partners is currently seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician with a minimum of two years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in new construction office buildings and hospitals as well as maintenance of existing fire alarm systems. The candidate should also have advanced capabilities in troubleshooting and maintaining existing fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in new construction office buildings and hospitals.
2. Perform regular maintenance checks and tests to ensure that fire alarm systems are working effectively.
3. Troubleshoot and repair issues with fire alarm systems and replace faulty equipment when necessary.
4. Understand and follow blueprints and technical diagrams for fire alarm systems.
5. Work in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to fire alarm systems.
6. Train and educate clients on the proper use and maintenance of their fire alarm systems.
7. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
2. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
3. Possess a current and valid Fire Alarm System Certification is required.
4. Must have excellent knowledge of local, state, and federal fire alarm regulations.
5. Strong technical and mechanical skills are required.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, heat detectors, notification appliances, and other fire alarm system components is a must.
2. Proficiency in using testing and repair equipment, such as multimeters, wire strippers, and hand tools.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Must adhere to all safety standards and protocols at all times.
2. Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations concerning fire alarm systems.
3. Ability to use personal protective equipment properly and consistently.
