Commercial Journeyman Electrician at Prime Partners

Position: Commercial Journeyman Electrician Location: San Francisco, CA Company: Prime Partners

Job Summary: Prime Partners is seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and licensed Commercial Journeyman Electrician. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of electrical experience with a focus on installing electrical systems in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties. The position is based in San Francisco, CA, but services may also be required in surrounding cities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
2. Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code.
3. Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears.
4. Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation.
5. Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards.
6. Communicate any problems, discrepancies, or factors that may affect the functionality of the installed system to the project manager.
7. Review blueprints to understand the layout of electrical systems for the new construction before installation.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. A valid journeyman license or equivalent proof of electrical experience
2. A minimum of 4 years experience as a Commercial Electrician
3. High school diploma or equivalent
4. Solid knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
5. Effective communication skills
6. Valid driver’s license
7. Able to work in high stress situations with strict deadlines

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Must be proficient in using electrical diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and multi-meters.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Must have a deep understanding of the latest safety protocols and procedures related to commercial electrical work.
2. Knowledge of first aid and CPR can be beneficial.
3. Ability to identify unsafe conditions and rectify them.
