Daily Responsibilities of a Lead Cable Technician
As a Lead Cable Technician at Prime Partners, your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading teams in the execution of structured cabling projects. You will oversee the installation and termination of CAT5e/CAT6 and fiber optic cables, ensuring all work meets industry standards and project specifications. Core Lead Cable Technician Responsibilities
Comprehensive Project Oversight
You will be responsible for overseeing structured cabling projects from pre-construction layout to final certification. This includes leading crews in pulling, routing, and terminating cables, as well as testing and certifying installations using advanced equipment like Fluke DTX/DSX tools.
Advanced Technical Duties
Your technical expertise will be called upon for advanced duties, such as executing fiber fusion splicing and operating OTDR equipment. Additionally, you will be involved in designing complex cable management systems, integrating them seamlessly with existing infrastructure.
Regional Project Specifics
Working in the San Francisco Bay Area, you will tackle projects that demand innovative solutions and precise execution, often collaborating with IT, electrical, and general contractor teams to align low-voltage work with overall construction timelines.

Qualifications
Experience and Expertise
