Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a seasoned Security Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the commercial sector, particularly in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties. The candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and troubleshooting various security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install various types of security systems including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
2. Conduct regular maintenance and inspection of security systems to ensure optimal functionality.
3. Troubleshoot and repair faulty security systems.
4. Collaborate with the design and engineering team to implement security systems as per client requirements.
5. Conduct system programming and system testing.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to clients on the operation of the security systems.
7. Adhere to safety procedures and protocols during installation and repair.
8. Provide training to end-users on the operation of security systems.
9. Maintain documentation of all installations, inspections, maintenance, and repair work.

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Technician.
2. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in electronics or related field is preferred.
3. Certified Alarm Technician Level 1 from Electronic Security Association (ESA) or equivalent is preferred.
4. Knowledge of various security systems like access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
5. Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.
6. Good understanding of networking, including IP addressing, subnetting, and configuring routers and switches.
7. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
8. Good customer service skills.

Specific Tools & Equipment Knowledge:

1. Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
2. Knowledge of using electrical testing equipment.
3. Experience with ladders and lifts.
4. Familiarity with cable installation tools.

Safety Requirements:

1. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
2. Ability to work safely in various environments including high and tight spaces.
3. Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
4. Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
