Job Title: Commercial Electrician Location: San Diego, CA Company: Prime Partners

Prime Partners is seeking experienced Apprentice and Journeyman level Commercial Electricians to provide exceptional electrical services to our clients. The chosen candidates will work primarily on new construction projects for office buildings and hospitals in San Diego and surrounding cities.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Perform general electrical maintenance.
3. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
4. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
5. Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
6. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
7. Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
8. Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as an Electrician.
2. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
3. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
4. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
5. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
6. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
7. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
8. Valid license to practice profession.

Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

Applicants should have experience with various tools and equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes, harmonics testers, and cable testers. They should also be proficient with conventional and power tools like conduit benders, wire strippers, drills, saws, and knockout punch sets for creating openings in metal boxes.

Safety Requirements:

Candidates must have thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines. They must follow all company protocols for safety, which include but are not limited to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), following lockout-tagout procedures, and adhering to fall protection standards.
