Job Title: Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Job Description:

We are searching for a reliable, experienced, and skilled Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair existing electrical infrastructure.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
3. Perform regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
4. Troubleshoot electrical problems and propose effective solutions.
5. Install various types of conduit systems and other electrical devices.
6. Supervise and train apprentices and lower-level journeyman to ensure quality work.
7. Provide excellent customer service and communicate with clients about work progress and potential issues.
8. Work in compliance with all local electrical standards and regulations.
9. Manage inventory of electrical supplies and equipment to ensure availability for job tasks.
10. Prepare cost estimates for clients and deliver reports to management as needed.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Journeyman Electrician license in California.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience as a commercial electrician.
4. In-depth knowledge of commercial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
5. Familiarity with electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
6. Ability to read and follow technical drawings and blueprints.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
9. Good communication and customer service skills.
10. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Requirements:

1. Must pass a drug test, background check, and have a clean driving record.
2. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and tools up to 50 lbs.
3. Must be willing to work in different weather conditions, at heights, and in confined spaces.
4. Must wear personal protective equipment and follow safety policies.
