Job Description:

Prime Partners, a leading electrical contractor in San Diego, CA, is seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the electrical field, with a focus on installing electrical systems in commercial properties such as office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial properties.
2. Reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
3. Inspecting electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, for safety and functionality.
4. Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
5. Complying with state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
6. Directing and training workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of electrician apprenticeship.
3. Valid journeyman electrician license in the state of California.
4. Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
5. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Proficiency in the use of electrical diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and ammeters.
2. Experience in using a variety of hand and power tools related to electrical work.
3. Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring, circuit breakers, and transformers.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and regulations.
2. Knowledge of first aid and CPR.
3. Ability to identify potential hazards and safety concerns in the work environment.
