Data Center Technician at Integra Electrical
Integra Electrical is seeking a skilled Data Center Operations Technician to join our team in Nashville, TN, serving the Nashville metropolitan area and neighboring cities such as Franklin, Murfreesboro, and Hendersonville. This role focuses on the management of critical facility infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of our data centers. As a key member of our team, you will manage power, cooling, and monitoring systems, while maintaining the highest standards of security and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain critical data center infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Perform server installations and decommissions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date cable plant documentation.
- Implement hot/cold aisle containment strategies to maximize cooling efficiency.
- Coordinate maintenance windows to minimize disruptions and downtime.
- Perform power circuit installations and maintain battery backup systems to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
- Monitor environmental controls and address any deviations from standard parameters.
- Execute change management procedures, ensuring detailed documentation and compliance with protocols.
- Manage equipment lifecycle, from procurement to decommissioning, ensuring efficient operations.
- Perform network hardware installations, ensuring seamless connectivity and network performance.
- Maintain security protocols to protect data center assets and sensitive information.
- Collaborate with local utilities and vendors to ensure regulatory compliance with Tennessee-specific requirements.
- Support the development and execution of a major data center expansion project in the Nashville area, leveraging regional resources.
Required Qualifications
- BICSI Data Center Technician certification preferred, with strong experience in critical infrastructure management.
- Proven experience dressing and terminating cables, with demonstrated ability to utilize DCIM systems effectively.
- Strong documentation skills and experience with change management procedures essential.
- A clean background check is required due to the security-sensitive nature of the position.
- 3-5 years of experience in a commercial data center environment is required.
- Familiarity with Nashville’s local regulations on data center operations and infrastructure.
- Experience working with regional power suppliers and understanding Tennessee’s energy policies.
