Overview

As a Plant Journeyman Electrician at IES Electric, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the electrical systems within industrial environments. This position requires a skilled professional who can efficiently troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems, ensuring safe and compliant operations. Essential Functions

• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance for industrial projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize advanced test equipment to diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Interpret and apply information from code books and blueprints to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
• Maintain a strong understanding of confined space and arc flash safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with project managers and other electricians to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure a safe workplace.

Required Qualifications

• Possess 4-8 years of electrical experience, preferably within an industrial setting.
• Hold a valid electrical license for the state of California.
• Demonstrated experience with advanced test equipment and the ability to interpret code books.
• Meet physical requirements, including the ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform tasks in various environmental conditions.
• Possess strong safety knowledge, with a commitment to adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Arc Flash Safety is highly desirable.
• Experience with blueprint reading and understanding complex electrical diagrams.
• Prior experience working on industrial projects, including manufacturing plants, data centers, and processing facilities.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: San Bernardino, CA.
• Neighboring cities include: Riverside, Fontana, Redlands, Colton, and Rialto.
• Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime as project needs dictate.
