Overview of the Role

As a Fire Alarm Electrical Project Manager at Convergint, you will be at the forefront of managing and overseeing complex fire alarm projects from inception to completion. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of fire alarm systems, project management methodologies, and electrical systems. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver successful project outcomes that meet our clients’ expectations and adhere to industry regulations.

Essential Functions

• Lead and manage fire alarm projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Utilize project management software to track project progress, budgets, and resources.
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and addressing any issues or risks.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.
• Collaborate with estimating teams to develop accurate project proposals and bids.
• Analyze codes and regulations to ensure all projects meet necessary compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-5 years of electrical experience, with a focus on fire alarm systems.
• A valid electrical license for the state of California.
• Proficient in project management software and estimating tools.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations related to fire alarm and electrical projects.
• Physical ability to perform site inspections and oversee project installations.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with code analysis and its application in fire alarm projects.
• Proven track record of managing fire alarm projects in commercial, healthcare, or educational settings.
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.

Location & Schedule

• This position is based in San Bernardino, CA, with the potential need to travel to nearby cities such as Riverside, Redlands, Fontana, and Rancho Cucamonga.
• This is a full-time position, requiring flexibility to meet project demands and deadlines.
