Job Title: Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Long Beach, CA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional service, with a commitment to ensuring safety and compliance at all times. This role demands an individual who has a deep understanding of electrical systems and is comfortable working in various commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
3. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
4. Manage and train workers to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
5. Read blueprints or technical diagrams before doing work.
6. Ensure compliance with state and local electrical codes.
7. Collaborate with architects and engineers on blueprints and electrical layouts for new construction.
8. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections.
9. Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.
10. Order and manage inventory of electrical supplies.
11. Provide professional customer service and communication with team members and clients.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Valid Journeyman License in the state of California.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, preferably in a commercial setting.
3. Proficient understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
5. Proficiency in the use of electrical diagnostic tools.
6. Proven experience in managing and training electrical staff.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
9. Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.
10. Able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
11. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
