Position Overview at WiLine

As a Cable Technician at WiLine, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage cabling systems in office buildings across Fresno, CA, and surrounding areas. You will work closely with clients to ensure their communication infrastructure meets the highest standards of performance and reliability. Your expertise will contribute to the successful deployment of WiLine’s cutting-edge communication solutions.

Requirements for Cable Technician

• Key responsibilities for Cable Technician at WiLine:

  • Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling systems.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of network and communication systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely project completion.

• Low voltage cabling installation for Cable Technician:

  • Experience in installing cat5e, cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Proficiency in using cabling tools and equipment.

• Tool proficiency for daily tasks for Cable Technician:

  • Cable testers
  • Punch-down tools
  • Fish tape and cable pulling equipment

• Daily tasks:

  • Conduct site surveys to assess project requirements.
  • Perform cable pathway installations and terminations.
  • Document and report on installation progress and issues.

• Project involvement:

  • Engage in large-scale office building projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians.

Qualifications for Cable Technician at WiLine

• 2-5 years of experience in low-voltage cabling and network installations.
• Required certification: BICSI Installer 2.
• Experience with: Fiber Optic Tools, Cable Testers.
• Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and perform tasks requiring physical dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: OSHA 10.
• Experience with: Fiber Optic Tools.

• Primary location: Fresno, CA.
• Additional locations: Clovis, Madera, Sanger, Selma.
• Schedule: Full-time.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $31.25-$36.3 per hour.
