Job Description:

Prime Partners is a leading company in the electrical industry, specializing in commercial work, particularly new construction and big box retail. We are currently seeking an experienced Voice & Data Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various voice and data systems in our commercial projects around Fresno and its neighboring cities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and electronic communication systems.
2. Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication.
3. Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly.
4. Install, splice, connectorize, and test fiber optic cables in a variety of environments.
5. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
6. Work closely with our team to design and implement the best voice and data systems for our customers.
7. Respond to service calls and troubleshoot any issues related to voice and data installations.
8. Ensure compliance with codes by adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
9. Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification in data/voice installation or related field preferred.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in voice and data installation, preferably within the electrical industry.
4. Strong knowledge of voice and data systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
5. Understanding of electrical codes and regulations.
6. Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
10. Ability to work in various environments, including new construction sites and large retail stores.
11. Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
12. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
