Overview of the Fire Alarm Security Project Manager Role
The Fire Alarm Security Project Manager at West Coast Fire plays a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of fire alarm projects. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in fire alarm systems and project management. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver effective fire alarm solutions that align with client needs and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
- Lead and manage fire alarm projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans.
- Coordinate with design teams to ensure accurate and compliant fire alarm system designs.
- Perform code analysis to ensure all projects meet local, state, and federal regulations.
- Utilize estimating tools to prepare accurate project estimates and proposals.
- Manage project resources, including personnel and materials, to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and address any issues or challenges.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, implementing and enforcing safety protocols and standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of electrical experience, preferably in fire alarm systems.
- Valid electrical license for the state of California.
- Proficiency in design software and code analysis relevant to fire alarm projects.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and practices in the fire alarm industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with estimating tools specific to fire alarm projects.
- Previous experience managing fire alarm projects, with a track record of successful project delivery.

- Primary location: Fresno, CA.
- Neighboring cities: Clovis, Sanger, Selma, Kerman, and Madera.
- Schedule: Full-time position with potential for flexible hours to meet project demands.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay range: $47.30 - $57.96 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
