Position Overview at WiLine
The Cable Technician at WiLine will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cable systems for office buildings in Arlington, VA, and neighboring cities. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install, maintain, and repair cable systems in office buildings.
- Conduct site surveys and assess network requirements.
- Perform cable splicing, termination, and testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at WiLine
- 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Network+ Certification.
- Proficiency with Fiber Optic Tools and Termination Equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: BICSI Technician.
- Experience with Punch Down Tools.
- Specialized experience in commercial office building projects.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic and testing tools.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Arlington, VA.
- Additional locations: Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, and McLean.
- Schedule: Full-time, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.37-$32.74 per hour.
