Cable Tech Team Lead at Telco Data

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cable Tech Team Lead to join our operations at Telco Data in Arlington, VA. This position calls for a seasoned professional with substantial experience in managing cabling operations in an entertainment environment, including hotels, convention centers, and sports venues. As a member of a growing regional team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing our complex cable systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic team of 10+ professionals, fostering an environment conducive to teamwork and professional development.
• Manage and oversee cabling installations and repairs in various environments including hotels, convention centers, and sports venues.
• Regularly use Fluke Networks, OTDR Testing, Network Analysis, and Cable Certification technologies.
• Coordinate with the planning team to ensure work is conducted as per plan, and report any discrepancies.
• Ensure all work is conducted within safety guidelines, minimizing risk and promoting a safe work environment.
• Regular travel within a 100-mile radius of the Arlington, VA region for on-site tasks and consultations.

Required Qualifications

• 5 - 8 years of experience in a cable tech position.
• Proven experience working with tools and technologies such as Fluke Networks, OTDR Testing, Network Analysis, and Cable Certification.
• Required Certifications: RCDD, Cisco CCNA.
• Ability to work the second shift schedule (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Network+, BICSI Technician.
• Prior experience in leading teams in a similar role.
