Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cable Tech Team Lead at Telco Data in Arlington, VA. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of formidable technicians and applying useful expertise in a healthcare environment such as hospitals, medical centers, and clinics. This role requires extensive travel covering a 100-mile radius in the Arlington, VA, area. The ideal candidate will showcase extraordinary leadership qualities with a robust background in the technical aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing, guiding, and mentoring a team of 4-6 technicians
• Implementing proper OTDR testing and network analysis
• Ensuring that all cable installations are certified accurately
• Utilizing Fluke Network tools for system troubleshooting and maintenance
• Frequently traveling within a 100-mile radius of Arlington, VA

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a similar position
• RCDD and Network+ certification is mandatory
• Proven knowledge and experience with OTDR testing, network analysis, cable certifications, and Fluke Networks
• Leadership experience in a technical environment
• Exceptional communication and team management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• BICSI Technician Certification is desired
• Previous work experience in a healthcare environment (Hospitals, Medical Centers, Clinics)
