Journeyman Electrician Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician for Teleco’s long-term projects in Berkeley, CA. You will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting renewable energy systems, including solar panels and battery storage solutions. Your expertise will ensure optimal energy output and compliance with local regulations.
Qualifications for Journeyman Electrician
- 4+ years of experience in the field
- Valid California Journeyman Certification from the Department of Industrial Relations
- Extensive knowledge of NEC, renewable energy codes, and solar and battery storage regulations
Responsibilities for Journeyman Electrician
- Install and maintain renewable energy systems for commercial properties
- Route and install conduit and wiring for high-voltage DC and AC systems
- Perform system testing and commissioning for solar arrays
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers on energy-efficient solutions
- Install and maintain battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues
- Supervise apprentices, ensuring safety and proper techniques
