The Security Technician at Convergint will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and servicing security systems within healthcare facilities in Berkeley, CA, and surrounding areas. Technicians will be responsible for deploying the latest security technologies, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

  • Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with team members and healthcare facility staff to address security concerns and provide training on system use.

• Low voltage cabling installation for Security Technician

  • Install and terminate low voltage cabling for security systems.
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all cabling work.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of installed cabling to verify functionality.

• Tool proficiency for daily tasks for Security Technician

  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, such as drills, cable testers, and multimeters.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

Qualifications for Security Technician at Convergint

• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Required certification: ESA Level 1 Certification.
• Experience with video surveillance equipment and network security tools.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $31.5-$38.35 per hour.
