Position Overview
Telco Data, a leading telecommunications and data service provider in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Tech. The prime candidate will have 4-7 years of relevant experience and be prepared to work in challenging healthcare settings. You will be part of a specialized team of 3-5 technicians, optimizing safety and communications for hospitals, medical centers, and clinics across the city.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm panels and mass notification systems
- Performing regular smoke detection tests and emergency communication simulations
- Provide end-user training to staff and patients, ensuring seamless understanding of fire safety systems
- Regular reporting and documenting of system health to senior management
- Traveling around the city to meet client needs within a 30-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Tech or similar role
- NFPA Certified
- Factory Certifications
- Proficient in using fire alarm panels, emergency communication systems, smoke detection, and mass notification devices
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in healthcare environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Alexandria market
