Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Electrician at Rogers Electric, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings
• Troubleshooting and repairing power distribution systems
• Ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations
• Implementing and managing lighting control systems
• Planning and executing electrical upgrades based on project requirements
• Coordinating with other construction teams to ensure seamless project execution
• Inspecting and testing installations for quality assurance
• Documenting work progress and maintenance records
• Providing guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior electricians
• Offering on-site technical expertise during project execution
• Supporting emergency power system installations
• Integrating energy-efficient solutions into project designs
• Understanding and adhering to the regional electrical requirements for Virginia
• Preparing for and contributing to upcoming electrician projects in Alexandria and surrounding areas

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate for our Commercial Electrician position should have:

• A relevant electrical certification or licensure
• A strong understanding of commercial electrical systems
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
• Hands-on experience with power tools and diagnostic equipment
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• A thorough knowledge of safety protocols and building codes
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• The physical capability to handle electrical tools and equipment
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in electrical system testing and inspection
