Position Overview at Tech Electronics
The Data Center Cable Tech at Tech Electronics will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cabling systems in office buildings primarily located in San Jose, CA, and surrounding areas. This role requires collaboration with other technicians and project managers to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
Essential Functions for Data Center Cable Tech
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables in office buildings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of cabling installations and modifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and specifications.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on cabling systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data cabling and connectivity.
Required Qualifications for Data Center Cable Tech at Tech Electronics
- 3-6 years of experience in data cabling and infrastructure.
- Required certification: Panduit Certification.
- Proven experience with Chatsworth Products and Corning Fiber Systems.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: CDCDP/CDCP.
- Extensive experience with Chatsworth Products.
- Specialized experience in large-scale office building projects.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in cabling installations.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: San Jose, CA.
- Additional locations: Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Cupertino, and Milpitas.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $28.97-$35.77 per hour.
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
