Pay Range: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 - 50 hours per week
Position Overview
Nexus Alarm and Suppression is seeking experienced Certified Fire Alarm Technicians to join our dynamic team. We are looking for professionals with expertise in fire alarm system installation, programming, and maintenance, specifically with Notifier certifications. Candidates with experience in data center environments and familiarity with FM200 suppression systems are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service requests, performing troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements of fire alarm systems.
- Program and service fire alarm systems, with a focus on Notifier, Gamewell, and Kidde systems.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and research alternatives to resolve system issues.
- Collaborate effectively with building owners, contractors, and other team members on project sites.
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, system schematics, and operational manuals for fire alarm systems.
- Provide prompt on-site customer service, addressing questions and resolving concerns professionally.
- Maintain clear communication with management regarding project status and updates.
- Complete all required company paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Participate in the on-call program for after-hours emergency services.
- Preference given to candidates with certifications in Edwards/EST, FireLite, Bosch, and other fire safety systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire alarm system service and programming.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must meet company requirements for driving a company vehicle.
- Proficiency with industry tools and software, including MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
- Notifier certification is preferred but not required.
- Ability to confidently troubleshoot, program, and service fire alarm systems independently.
- Familiarity with data center environments and FM200 suppression systems is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Certifications in Notifier, Gamewell, Kidde, Edwards/EST, FireLite, or related fire life safety systems.
- NICET I certification or equivalent industry-related certifications.
- Experience with programming and servicing low-voltage systems, such as nurse call systems.

Schedule
- Flexible shifts available:
- 10-hour shifts
- 8-hour shifts
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime and weekends as needed
