Controls Engineer at Tech Electronics
Tech Electronics is seeking an experienced Safety Controls Engineer to join our team in Seattle, WA. The successful candidate will be an expert in machine safety systems, safety PLCs such as Allen-Bradley GuardLogix and Siemens F-CPU, and risk assessment. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and experience, with the ability to travel 40-70% of the time for safety system validation and compliance assessments.

We are located in Seattle, WA, neighboring cities include Bellevue, Kirkland, and Redmond.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Controls Engineer.
- Must have TÜV Functional Safety Engineer certification.
- Must possess OSHA-30 and Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) credentials.
- Expertise in machine safety systems and safety PLCs (Allen-Bradley GuardLogix, Siemens F-CPU).
- Proficiency in Sistema calculations, safety circuit design, and robot safety systems.
- Experience with ISO 13849/IEC 62061 standards, safety system design, and safety network protocols (CIP Safety, PROFIsafe).
- Ability to travel 40-70% for safety system validation and compliance assessments.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree in Engineering or related field.
- Additional certifications in safety controls.
- Experience with advanced safety network protocols.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $60.45-$70.78 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and more.
