Role Overview:

As a Security Fire Alarm Designer at Prime Partners, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of fire alarm systems within our security projects. You will utilize your expertise to create tailored solutions that ensure the safety and security of our clients’ spaces. Your work will involve collaborating with a team of security professionals to deliver state-of-the-art fire alarm systems that meet regulatory standards and exceed client expectations.

Essential Functions

• Design and Development: Create detailed fire alarm designs for security projects, ensuring compliance with NFPA 25 and NFPA 1042 standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
• System Testing and Validation: Utilize fire alarm testing equipment and software to ensure systems are fully operational and meet safety standards.
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation for all design projects, including plans, specifications, and compliance reports.
• Project Management: Oversee the installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in fire alarm technology to enhance design effectiveness and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of electrical experience, with a focus on fire alarm systems.
• Valid electrical license for Washington State.
• Proficient in using fire alarm testing equipment and fire alarm software.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to fire alarm systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fire alarm design software.
• Previous experience working on security projects.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Seattle, WA
• Neighboring Cities: Bellevue, Renton, Shoreline, Redmond, and Kirkland.
• Schedule: Full-time position with a standard workweek, with occasional requirements for overtime based on project needs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $40.06 - $47.26 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
