Position Overview
Staley Technologies is seeking a skilled Data Center Cable Technician to join our team in Plano, TX. This role is an integral part of a specialized team tasked with maintaining and optimizing our cutting-edge edge data centers, which serve telecom providers, content delivery networks, and IoT services. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the seamless operation of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot cabling systems in edge data centers.
- Collaborate within a 3-5 person team to ensure optimal data center performance.
- Utilize DCIM software and environmental monitoring tools to manage data center assets.
- Implement and maintain PDUs and cable management systems.
- Regularly travel to nearby major cities to support regional data center operations.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in data center cable management.
- Certifications: DCCA, CompTIA Server+.
- Proficiency with DCIM software and environmental monitoring technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications: Advanced DCCA, CompTIA Server+.
- Experience with regional data center operations in the Texas area.
