Key Responsibilities
- Assist with electrical system installations, learn commercial wiring methods, and support power distribution projects
- Help with lighting control programming and install conduit and cable pathways
- Maintain material inventory, operate lift equipment under supervision, and assist with fire alarm installation
- Document daily work activities and support panel installation and testing
- Learn building automation basics and coordinate with other trades
- Assist with advanced telecom infrastructure and network cabling specific to Plano’s growing tech hub
- Comply with Texas state electrical codes and safety regulations
- Participate in the Legacy West expansion project, focusing on innovative electrical solutions
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required and enrollment in an apprenticeship program
- Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read construction drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools and a valid driver’s license
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and good communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency and commitment to ongoing education
- 1-5 years of experience in commercial Voice Data work
- Familiarity with Plano’s commercial development landscape
- Willingness to work weekends during critical project phases
