Role Overview

As a Commercial Electrician in the Commercial division at IES Electric, you will play a critical role in the successful completion of various commercial projects. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial electrical systems and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines.

Requirements

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure the timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.

• Required Certifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.

• Experience and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of electrical experience, specifically in commercial projects.
  • Valid electrical license for the state of Texas.
  • Experience with OSHA 30 safety standards.
  • Proficient in the use of Thermal Imaging Cameras.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and bending for extended periods.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Lift Certification is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working on large-scale commercial projects is preferred.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Plano, TX
• Neighboring Cities: Richardson, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Carrollton, and The Colony.
• Schedule: This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule that may include overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $33.99-$37.28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
