As a Journeyman Electrician at Rex Moore Electric, you will be an integral member of our project teams. Core Journeyman Electrician Responsibilities

• Install and Maintain Renewable Energy Systems: Engage in the installation and maintenance of solar panels, inverters, and energy storage systems for commercial properties.
• Conduit and Wiring: Route and install conduit (EMT, rigid) and wiring for high-voltage DC and AC systems, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations.
• System Testing and Commissioning: Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of solar arrays, optimizing energy output and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate on Energy Solutions: Work with engineers and project managers to design and implement energy-efficient electrical solutions tailored to client needs.
• Battery Energy Storage Systems: Install and maintain BESS, integrating them seamlessly with building power systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on renewable energy equipment, replacing faulty components and ensuring proper grounding.
• Supervise Apprentices: Guide and supervise apprentices, ensuring adherence to safety standards and proper installation techniques.
• Technical Duties: Conduct advanced diagnostics of electrical systems, participate in the design of new electrical layouts, and implement advanced energy solutions unique to our regional projects.
• Safety Protocols: Adhere to rigorous safety protocols, including OSHA standards and company-specific guidelines, to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Required Experience & Skills

To excel as a Journeyman Electrician at Rex Moore Electric, you must possess:

• A valid California Journeyman Certification from the Department of Industrial Relations.
• Extensive knowledge of NEC and renewable energy codes, particularly those pertaining to solar and battery storage.
• Proven experience with solar panel installations, inverters, and high-voltage DC systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and megohmmeters.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and energy system diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail for troubleshooting and system optimization.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
• Essential certifications in relevant areas of electrical work.
