Job Description:

Prime Partners is currently seeking a skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of voice and data communications systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This position will focus on electrical industry specifics for commercial work, mainly new construction and big box retail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice and data communications systems.
2. Work with project managers to plan and design the communications infrastructure for new construction and big box retail.
3. Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose system defects, and perform necessary repairs.
4. Ensure compliance with all local and national electrical codes.
5. Perform system upgrades and network expansions as needed.
6. Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure project accuracy.
7. Document all work performed, materials used, and time spent for each project.
8. Assist in the training of junior technicians and provide technical guidance when necessary.
9. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Voice & Data Technician or similar role in the electrical industry.
3. Knowledge of electrical systems, tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
4. Familiarity with local and national electrical codes.
5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication.
7. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
8. Ability to handle physical workload and lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
9. Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
10. Must be willing to travel to project sites in Santa Rosa and surrounding cities.
