Key Responsibilities

Assist with the installation of commercial electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting controls, and fire alarm systems. Learn conduit bending and installation techniques for EMT and rigid conduit, helping with wire pulling and termination in electrical rooms. Support panel installation and circuit identification, assisting with lighting fixture installation and controls programming. Learn the basics of building automation systems and help with emergency lighting installation and testing. Maintain material inventory and job site organization. Document daily work progress and operate aerial lifts and scaffolding under supervision. Assist with blueprint reading and layout.

• Participate in Detroit-specific projects that may involve working in older historical buildings with unique electrical challenges.

Required Qualifications

Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and possess good communication skills for job site coordination. Basic computer skills for documentation and a willingness to attend required training classes.
