About Prime Partners Prime Partners is a leading electrical industry company specializing in new construction and big box retail in and around Glendale, CA, including the surrounding cities such as Burbank, Pasadena, Alhambra, and La Canada Flintridge. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Voice & Data Technician to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

The Voice & Data Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of voice and data systems in commercial settings. Specific duties include:

1. Installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining voice and data cables, including fiber optics and copper lines.
2. Connecting wires and cables to outlets, switches, circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
3. Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings.
4. Configuring and maintaining networks, including switches, routers, and servers.
5. Regularly inspecting systems and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
6. Complying with all safety procedures and regulations, including those related to working with high voltage equipment.
7. Providing exceptional customer service, including explaining technical issues to non-technical audiences.
8. Collaborating with team members and other contractors to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Vocational training or an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a voice and data technician in the commercial electrical industry.
4. Knowledge of current voice and data systems, including VOIP, PBX, and data networks.
5. Familiarity with industry-standard safety procedures and regulations.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
8. Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings.
9. Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, and work in a variety of weather conditions.

Requirements:

1. Must have a valid California driver’s license.
2. Must be willing to travel to job sites in and around Glendale, CA.
3. Must pass a background check and drug test.
