Position: Security Technician

Prime Partners, a leading provider of security solutions, is currently seeking a highly skilled Security Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience in installing security systems in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of commercial electrical work and will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain and repair security systems including CCTV, access control systems, alarm systems, and intrusion detection systems in commercial properties.
2. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks and ensure all systems are functioning optimally.
3. Provide technical advice and support to clients during the design and installation process.
4. Troubleshoot and repair faults in security systems.
5. Adhere to all safety standards and protocols while carrying out duties.
6. Train customers on the proper use of security systems.
7. Work cooperatively with team members and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Security Technician or a similar role.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of various security systems and the ability to install, repair, and maintain them.
3. Certified Alarm Technician (CAT) or equivalent certification is preferred.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams.
6. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to different job sites within Glendale and surrounding cities.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Proficiency in using various hand and power tools used in the installation and maintenance of security systems.
2. Knowledge of testing equipment like multimeters, network testers, and cable testers.
3. Familiarity with software for system configuration and diagnostics.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the commercial electrical field.
2. Ability to identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate preventive measures.
3. Commitment to using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
