Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated, professional Fire Alarm Technician with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to join our team. The successful candidate will specifically work on new construction office buildings and hospitals, as well as performing maintenance on existing fire alarm systems. More experienced technicians should have experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of existing fire alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, programming, and commissioning of fire alarm systems in new construction office buildings and hospitals.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspection of fire alarm systems to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in fire alarm systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all installations, inspections, maintenance procedures, and repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service, including answering customer queries and explaining the operation of the system to clients.
- Adhere to all safety practices and protocols in line with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Attend training workshops for professional development and to stay updated with the latest industry trends.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
- Certified Fire Alarm Technician or similar relevant certification.
- Familiarity with various fire alarm systems, including but not limited to Honeywell, Siemens, and Edwards.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and ability to use related testing and repair equipment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various service areas including Glendale and surrounding cities.
Safety Requirements:
The Fire Alarm Technician must adhere to all safety requirements, including wearing protective gear, following safety protocols during installation and repair, and ensuring the work area is safe for all personnel. The technician should also be up-to-date with all safety regulations and protocols in relation to fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
