Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Voice & Data Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing voice and data cables, as well as on-site telecommunication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation, testing and maintenance of voice and data systems, including cabling, hardware, and software.
2. Conduct troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with voice and data systems.
3. Perform preventive maintenance checks and services on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
4. Adhere to industry quality standards and compliance with company safety policies.
5. Prepare and manage documentation of installations, inspections, and maintenance actions.
6. Respond to emergency calls and provide technical support to clients.
7. Stay updated with latest advancements in voice and data technology.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification in Telecommunications or related field is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in voice and data installation and maintenance, preferably in the electrical industry.
3. Proven knowledge of voice and data systems, including installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
4. Strong understanding of electrical codes and OSHA safety standards.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients.
8. Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
9. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in diverse physical conditions.
10. Must be willing to travel to job sites in the surrounding cities.
