Apprentice Electrician at Prime Partners

We are looking for a diligent and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. You will be provided with the opportunity to receive hands-on training under the supervision of a skilled electrician. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist with electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance to ensure that our customers have safe and efficient electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the electrical construction industry.

2. Gain hands-on experience in electrical systems by assisting senior electricians.

3. Carry out preventative maintenance and testing of electrical systems (including power distribution units, power outlets, lighting systems, etc.)

4. Learn to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.

5. Ensure the compliance of all electrical installations with safety regulations.

6. Follow the National Electrical Code and State regulations and standards.

7. Handle electrical materials, tools, and equipment appropriately.

8. Inspect, troubleshoot, and conduct tests for electrical systems and wiring.

9. Respond to electrical emergencies, diagnose faults, and replace damaged units.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Must be enrolled in an approved technical training program in electrical systems.

3. Basic understanding of electrical systems and willing to learn.

4. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

5. Ability to differentiate between different colors to work with color-coded wiring.

6. Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 lbs.

7. Ability to use electrical and hand tools, and electrical drawings or blueprints.

8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
