Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and electronic communications systems.
2. Inspect and service telecommunication devices in frequent intervals.
3. Install and configure routers, switches, and other network devices.
4. Pulling, routing, and terminating CAT5 or CAT6 cables in new construction and big box retail environments.
5. Perform system testing to ensure installations are in working order.
6. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues remotely and on-site.
7. Coordinate with construction teams and project managers to ensure the smooth running of projects.
8. Maintain industry knowledge and skills by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional associations.
9. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Voice & Data Technician or in a similar role.
3. Proficiency with CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cable installation and termination.
4. Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC Standards.
5. Strong knowledge of telecommunication systems, including IP phone systems, VoIP, and SIP Trunking.
6. Ability to use various hand tools and testing equipment.
7. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Must possess a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
10. Must be willing to travel to the surrounding cities for job assignments.
11. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
