Security Technician at Prime Partners

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Security Technician to join our team at Prime Partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining security systems in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big-box retail stores, and other commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation of security systems such as access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems in various commercial properties.
2. Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance of security systems.
3. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in security systems, including hardware and software issues.
4. Provide technical support and training to clients about the use and maintenance of the installed systems.
5. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly health and safety regulations.
6. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
7. Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of security systems and technology.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing, servicing, and repairing security systems.
2. A valid state driver’s license.
3. Certified Alarm Technician Level I from the Electronic Security Association (ESA) or similar certification is preferred.
4. Knowledge of IP, analog, and wireless technology.
5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics.
6. Familiarity with local, state, and national security codes and regulations.

Service Area:

The security technician will be responsible for servicing Los Angeles and surrounding cities. Some travel may be required.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

Candidates should have experience using various tools and equipment needed for installing and repairing security systems, such as multimeters, wire strippers, power drills, etc. Knowledge of specific security software and programming tools is also essential.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

The security technician must strictly follow all safety requirements and protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment and adhering to OSHA standards.
