Commercial Journeyman Electrician at Prime Partners

Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician for immediate hire in Los Angeles, CA and surrounding areas. This position requires a minimum of 4 years of electrical experience, primarily focused on commercial properties such as office buildings, hospitals, and big box retail stores. We are offering a $300 sign-on bonus after your first pay check.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial properties.
2. Perform regular inspections to identify defective components and ensure conformance with safety standards.
3. Read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams to understand the layout of electrical systems.
4. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
5. Manage wiring and electrical systems for new construction projects.
6. Collaborate with architects and engineers to determine the best placement of electrical outlets, fixtures, and equipment.
7. Adhere to all quality and safety codes.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid state Journeyman Electrician’s license.
3. Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience, with a focus on commercial properties.
4. Proficiency in using electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
5. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines.

Service Area:

This position will primarily service Los Angeles, CA and surrounding cities. Occasional travel to nearby areas may be required.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

Candidates must be skilled at using a variety of tools and equipment, such as conduit benders, wire strippers, multimeters, megohmmeters, infrared scanners, and cable testers. Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring, as well as the ability to read and understand blueprints, is necessary.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

All candidates must have a thorough understanding of electrical codes and safety protocols. This includes wearing protective clothing and using safety equipment, adhering to lockout-tagout procedures, and maintaining an overall focus on safety in all tasks.
