Job Description:

Position: Fire Alarm Installer Location: Glendale, CA Company: Prime Partners

Prime Partners, an industry-leading electrical solutions provider, is seeking a qualified and experienced Fire Alarm Installer to join our team in Glendale, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing fire alarm systems in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties across Glendale and surrounding cities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and program new fire alarm systems, including panels, detectors and devices in compliance with all codes and standards.
• Conduct inspections to determine the appropriate fire alarm system for a given building.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, architects, builders, and building owners to integrate fire alarm systems into building design.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning fire alarm systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems.
• Educate customers on the operation and maintenance of the installed fire alarm system.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fire alarm installation, preferably in commercial properties.
• Certified Fire Alarm Technician, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

• Proficiency with various hand and power tools used for installation, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, drills, etc.
• Knowledge of fire alarm control panels, system devices, and wiring.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

• In-depth knowledge of electrical safety practices and procedures, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Familiarity with local building codes related to fire and electrical installations.
• Ability to recognize and mitigate safety hazards on the job site.
