What You’ll Do as a Security Technician
As a Security Technician at Prime Partners, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring safety and security at our commercial job sites in Glendale, AZ, and the surrounding areas, including Peoria, Avondale, and Surprise. Your role is pivotal in crafting secure environments by installing, configuring, and maintaining cutting-edge security systems. This multi-year project focuses on safeguarding businesses, and your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around delivering reliable security solutions.
Your Daily Tasks as a Security Technician
Installation and Configuration
On a daily basis, you will be tasked with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting a range of security systems, including IP cameras, access control systems, motion detectors, and alarm systems at commercial job sites. Your role is crucial in ensuring these systems function seamlessly and are installed to the highest standards.
Cable Management
You’ll be responsible for pulling, terminating, and labeling low-voltage cables, while ensuring proper routing and strict compliance with site specifications. This task requires precision and attention to detail, as it forms the backbone of the entire security system.
System Testing and Verification
Perform comprehensive on-site testing to verify system functionality, connectivity, and power reliability. This step ensures that all systems are working optimally and meet both customer and industry standards.
Collaboration and Coordination
Work closely with project managers and general contractors to align installations with project timelines. Effective communication and coordination are key to ensuring that projects are completed on schedule.
Documentation and Client Training
Maintain accurate installation records and documentation. Additionally, provide training to clients on basic system operation and troubleshooting, empowering them to manage their systems effectively.
Additional Key Responsibilities

What You Need to Be a Security Technician
Experience and Skills
To thrive in this role, you should have 1-3 years of experience in the field as a Security Technician. Essential skills include:
