Apprentice Electrician at Prime Partners

We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team in San Francisco, CA. The apprentice electrician will work directly under the supervision of a qualified Journeyman Electrician in the installation and repair of electrical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Journeyman Electrician in installing and maintaining electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and residential buildings.

2. Follow the National Electric Code and comply with State and local building codes when installing and maintaining electrical systems.

3. Read blueprints or technical diagrams before doing work.

4. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.

5. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.

6. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

7. Work on electrical wires, lead bends, three-phase settings, etc.

8. Handle the tasks of repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.

9. Follow safety procedures and policies as set by the company.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Completion of electrician apprenticeship program preferred.

3. Electrician’s license or certification is a plus.

4. Familiarity with the tools, concepts, and methodologies of the electrical industry.

5. Demonstrated ability to use electrical and hand tools.

6. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.

7. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

8. Good physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Requirements:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.

2. Valid driver’s license.

3. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

4. Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

5. Capable of climbing ladders, bending, and standing for long hours.

6. Willingness to work in all weather conditions and at heights.

7. Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
